Mumble instead of Ventrillo?

A couple of weeks ago, while looking up information about Ventrillo I came across a free, open-source alternative called Mumble. However, I had completely forgotten about it until I joined Outcasts (for the purpose of farming some of my tt99 gold gear), and what do you know, they had Mumble as opposed to Ventrillo. This is a free alternative, so if the cost was an issue with getting Ventrillo up and running this may be a viable alternative.

That being said, I have no idea about the quality of this application because I haven't used it yet. I'll do some playing around with it later.

If setting it up and things like that would be a problem, then I can help since I am pretty tech savvy, and I know how to rtfm (read the f****** manual) for anything I don't understand.

I have a Mumble server set up. It's just never on.

I doubt anyone would actually use it, so I haven't bothered to keep it running; but if anyone is interested I can keep it up.

It's as simple as running the server program in the background on my computer.

Is that the one we tested way back when?
